The COBRA Subsidy does not pay a specific amount, rather is pay a percentage of your total COBRA premium. The subsidy pays 65% of your premium. So that means, if your COBRA premium was 1000 dollars per months, you are only required to pay 350. Your paying 35 cents to the dollar! Keep in mind that you will not have to pay the other 65% to the COBRA admin and wait to be reimbursed. The Subsidy works by giving a tax refund to employers, so once you pay the 35%, your done, no other work needed!

Keep in mind as well that this subsidy only work for half of your 18 month COBRA term. You will only receive this subsidy for the first 9 months.
